Martin is an Executive Coach and Psychotherapist who works with CEOs, C-Suite Executives, Senior Leaders, and Investment Professionals during critical moments in their careers. He supports leaders navigating periods of transition, complexity, and heightened responsibility, where the usual solutions are insufficient and the quality of judgment, relationships, and presence matters most.

Drawing on board-level experience and over 20 years of leadership assessment, development, and coaching, Martin brings a rare combination of senior business experience and depth psychological training. He has worked with leaders across multiple industries and with financial institutions of every size, scale, and stage of development, coaching clients globally across Europe, the US, Asia, and Africa.

Coaching Approach

Martin’s work is grounded in bilateral exploratory dialogue, where understanding emerges through shared reflection rather than instruction or performance pressure. Rather than applying techniques to drive behaviour change, he works collaboratively with clients to surface what is shaping their decisions, reactions, and leadership presence—often beneath conscious awareness.

A central focus of the work is meaning-making: helping clients make sense of their current situation, the developmental demands they are facing, and the internal or relational patterns that may be constraining clarity and choice. Frameworks and models are used selectively as sense-making tools, not prescriptions—providing orientation and perspective without reducing the work to formulae or targets.

Much of the change that follows is subtractive rather than additive. By reducing internal conflict, outdated assumptions, over-effort, and unnecessary pressure, leaders regain psychological capacity and agency. This enables clearer decision-making, more effective relationships, and change that is aligned, sustainable, and appropriate to the complexity of senior roles.

Martin typically works at two interconnected levels:

  • working psychologically with the underlying patterns of thinking, relating, and responding that shape those challenges.

The outcome is not short-term optimisation, but durable change that stands the test of time.

  • Meyler Campbell Business Coach Programme, accredited by the WABC

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis, accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

  • Advanced Diploma in Relationship Therapy, accredited by COSRT and the National Council of Psychotherapists

  • British Psychological Society, Qualified Specialist in Test Use, Ability and Personality

  • Accreditation to use a wide range of psychometric tools, including: PROPHET (Predictive Role Profiling for High Performing Executive Teams); Hogan Assessments HDS, HPI, MVPI; Neo PI-R; MBTI; BeTalent Strengths, Decision Making Styles ; Realise2 Strengths Profile; VIA Character Strengths.
